Volvo Car South Africa has done it again with the EX30, the brand’s all-new and fully electric SUV with some very enticing pricing.
The new EX30 has come in as one of the most accessible models in the local line-up and is set to be one of the most affordable full-size contenders in South Africa’s growing EV segment. Features include a model-specific steering wheel, horizontal instead of vertical climate control vents, a thin and unique instrument binnacle situated on top of the steering column and a center console separate from the dashboard itself.
Volvo Car SA has finalised pricing ahead of the stylish newcomer’s arrival in early 2024, with the five-strong local range set to start at just R775 900 which seems to be affordable. Pre-orders will open on Thursday, 8th of June 2023.
Volvo South Africa has tasked themselves to excel in areas such as performance, sustainability, and safety. Their vast range of vehicles is sure to capture many types of buyers. The EX30 interior design is modern, minimalistic, and, much like the recently launched C40 Recharge, rich in recycled and renewable materials. There’s a lot to love about the Volvo EX30, just like the single 12.3-inch touchscreen resides in the center console. The Swedish automaker is boasting the vehicle’s build sixe, claiming that it is smaller ‘’than any Volvo car ever before’’. It comes with a 49kWh battery in the entry-level car, but all other versions get a larger pack of about 64kWh, separating itself from the C40 recharge and XC40 models. Both Single Motor and Twin Motor derivatives of the EX30 will be available here in South Africa, while battery choices will include high-voltage 51 kWh and 69 kWh units.
